Military Families

Texas Leadership welcomes military families who have been transferred to Dyess Air Force Base! As a public charter school, any parent or guardian who serves the armed forces of the United States, or are part of the reserve armed forces can enroll children at TLCA San Angelo.

We are committed to providing excellent educational opportunities to ensure all students served are able to reach their maximum learning potential. The Texas Leadership Public Schools (District) recognizes the importance of responding to the needs of our students and military families and we welcome feedback and suggestions, as we believe this is an important part of the continuous improvement process.

Our aim is to support you and help you ease into our community and school. Thank you for choosing our community!

We'd Love To Connect With You!

TLCA Abilene desires to help parents ease the transition of the mobile military lifestyle and can assist you prior to your PCS, upon arrival, while at your installation and when you prepare to depart for your next duty station.

Our heart is to serve our military families (with K-12 school-age children) and provide information about the local school systems and community. Our Military & Family Liaison (Coming Soon) is here to support parents and school district.

Each April, America honors the courage and recognizes the sacrifice of over 1.7 million children in military families nationwide. The life of military children has always had its challenges, foremost among them being frequent relocations. Every time families move, children have to make new friends, get used to new schools, and find new clubs and teams to join. A lot of military children take these changes in stride and some even thrive on them, but it is hard - kids have to rebuild their world every time and find their place in it. Month of the Military Child provides a powerful opportunity to raise awareness and build support to help these children meet the unique challenges they face! It is an opportunity to recognize military children and youth for their heroism, character, courage, sacrifices and continued resilience.

At Texas Leadership, we honor all of our military-connected kids and families and say THANK YOU!

In celebration, we invite ALL of our students to participate in the National Purple UP! Day. Students come to school in a Purple Shirt and Jeans as a way of showing support!
