Carmen Crane- Principal
Mrs. Crane is a native of Abilene and a 1994 graduate of Abilene High School. She holds her Bachelor of Behavioral Science from Hardin Simmons University and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling and Educational Administration from Angelo State University. Mrs. Crane has been in the field of Education for 15 years. She began her career in DFW as a First Grade teacher at Sam Rosen Elementary, transitioning several years later to teaching 6th grade Mathematics at Chisholm Trail Middle School before returning to her hometown of Abilene to serve at TLCA as a classroom teacher and assistant principal.
Mrs. Crane is passionate about education and serving her community. She currently serves as a member of the 37th Leadership Abilene class, is a volunteer for Junior Achievement, a working committee member on the Abilene Chamber of Commerce’s Business Expo committee, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the local March of Dimes office. Mrs. Crane is proud to call Abilene her hometown and looks forward to continuing her service to the students and families of TLCA as the campus principal.
Mrs. Crane has been married to her husband, Greg, for 20 years. Together, they have three children: Caden, Jackson, and Kensley. She is the daughter of Cherry Branch and the late John Goline.
Allyson Solymosy- Assistant Principal
Mrs. Solymosy was born in Fort Worth and raised in Austin before moving to Abilene in 2002. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Speech Communication and will complete her Masters of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in December 2018 from the University of Texas at Arlington. She earned her teaching certification in 2012 and began teaching fifth grade ELA at Wylie ISD for three years before joining TLCA in 2015 as a first grade teacher. She served as the campus’s first Instructional Coach from 2017-2018 before accepting her current placement as Assistant Principal. She and her husband, Steve, have been married for 24 years and have three children: Nick (21), Aaron (19) and Alexandra (18). She loves to play tennis, read, and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Solymosy has served the Abilene community through volunteering with Character First!, Junior League of Abilene, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, United States Tennis Association, and many hours at her children’s schools. She is strongly committed to the mission and vision of Texas Leadership Charter Academy and its students and families.
Casey Stone- Assistant Principal
Mr. Stone was born and raised in DeLeon, TX, and graduated from DeLeon ISD in 1991. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Tarleton State University and a Master in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University. Mr. Stone has been in the field of education for 22 years. Throughout his teaching career, he has taught math subjects ranging from 8th grade math to AP Calculus.
Mr. Stone has been an administrator at every grade level including some time spent in Federal Programs. His most recent roles were as the principal at Stamford High School and Merkel Middle School before coming to TLCA as the 6 - 8 assistant principal.
Mr. Stone is engaged and will be married in September. He has two sons, and will soon have two daughters.
