Texas Leadership of Abilene was proud to present a check in the amount of $1,123.00 to Wreaths Across America.
right before Thanksgiving Break. An increase in the amount given in 2019.
Selected students from the Leadership class presented a heart-felt and moving speech that captured the heart of this service project. They then presented the check to a representative from Wreaths Across America, Mrs. Klump.
“Wreaths Across America is a very meaningful time, it’s a chance to say thank you to those who have served our great Nation. Wreaths are placed at the final resting place of Veterans in over 2,000 locations including Abilene on the third Saturday of December and it’s a very special day. It’s a chance to remember who they were and the sacrifice they made” says Klump. “We are so honored to have such great support!”
This is TLCA Abilene’s second year to participate and they plan to continue this project for years to come.
